In our everyday lives, we hide behind masks, pretending to be strong when we are not because we are afraid to publicly show our emotions. That is because vulnerability is generally seen as a weakness.
This project allowed Pit to explore notions of both emotional as well as physical vulnerability. The resulting series is a celebration of vulnerability, as well as the softness of emotions and feelings. Only by embracing our vulnerable selves, can we fully accept ourselves and the complexity of our emotional lives. It is in this way that vulnerability can become a source of strength in our lives.
